第一部分、基本動詞詞匯
Basic Verbs, Prepositions, Articles, Pronouns, etc.
1. come (verb.)
Come here! 到這里來！
He will never come to much (= will never be successful). 他將來絕不會很有作為。
How did you come to be so foolish? 你為什么如此愚蠢？
On what page does it come? 它在哪一頁？
2. get (verb.)
We can get 15 channels on TV. 我們可以收看到15個頻道的電視節目。
Do you get me? 你明白我的意思嗎？
Ah! I’ve got you there! 啊！這下我可難到你啦。
3. give (verb.)
He gave me his cold. 他把感冒傳給我。
Sorry to have given you trouble. 對不起，打擾了。
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you our speaker for tonight. 女士們，先生們，讓我向諸位介紹今晚的演講者。
4. go (verb.)
Go get a doctor. 去叫醫生來！
How goes it with you? 你近來情況如何？
There are six minutes to go. 還有六分鐘。
5. keep (verb.)
Does your watch keep good time? 你的表走得準嗎？
Sorry to have kept you waiting. 對不起，讓你久等了。
Does your school keep all day? 你們學校全天上課嗎？
6. let (verb.)
Let us pray. 讓我們祈禱吧。
The pair of rubber shoes let (in) water. 這雙膠鞋漏水。
The flat lets for 1500 yuan a month. 這套公寓每月租金1500元。
7. make (verb.)
Make yourself comfortable. 請隨意。
What time do you make it? (What do you make the time?) 你看現在幾點了？
He made to go. 他要走了。
8. put (verb.)
I put a question to him. 我向他提出一個問題。
What a way you have of putting things! 瞧你這人怎么那樣說話！
I put her at about 35. 我估計她大概35歲。
9. seem (verb.)
Be what you seem (to be). 要表里如一。
It seems as if it is going to rain. 看來快下雨了。
I can’t seem to solve it right now. 看來我無法立刻解決它。
10. take (verb.)
Be careful not to take cold. 小心不要著涼。
Do you take me for a fool? 你以為我是傻瓜嗎？
Don’t take it so seriously. 不要把這事看得太嚴重。
11. be (verb.)
Can such things be? 可能有這樣的事嗎？
He is come. 他已經來了。
12. do (verb.)
Will you do me a favour? 幫我個忙好嗎？
They do you very well at that hotel. 那家旅館服務很周到。
What"s doing over there? 那邊在干什么？
13. have (verb.)
May I have one? 可以給我一個嗎？
Let"s have a talk. 咱們談一談。
You have me, haven"t you? 你明白我的意思了，對不對？
14. say (verb.)
We mean what we say. 我們說的話是算數的。
What do these figures say? 這些數字說明什么？
You may well say so. 你完全可以這么說。
